A few thoughts: Sharp, fleeting pain is usually local irritation (ex. nylon splinter) or neurologic irritation. Cannot rule out infection or other cause w/out exam. If area is becoming red &/or warm, likely irritative/infectious process. If no such changes, consider seeing dr.A good history & phys, including osteopathic hands-on exam may reveal cause such as nerve irritation. Manipulation may help.
