Shunt (following a hemmoraghic stroke) maintenance. how often should a patient (61 years old - installed 2 years ago) get an mri (or other scan) for a shunt?

Shunt Maintenance: As often as the Neurosurgeon following the shunt desires it. If the shunt is working well and there is no change clinically or neurologically will an MRI change the treatment plan?
