Not simple: Why did you need a blood transfusion??? The same conditions which cause anemia often also cause itch.. Probably anemia itself is not a cause of itch. Probably iron deficiency by itself does not cause itch. Note that there are many kinds of anemias. If it is anemia due to low iron, then it is imperative to find the reason for low iron, usually blood loss.
