Supplements: If you have already been diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia, then you schold have started taking oral iron supplements. If you are unable to tolerate that, then your doc can give it to you in e intravenous form. You can also replenish your iron storesmwith diet. If you have not been diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia, then visit your doc to botsing a complete physical evaluation.

Itching: Check iron level, if low and not due to thalassemia would replace iron.Unusual for young males to be iron deficient unless parasites,worms abnormal hemoglobin or other pathology. Other causes of itching could be dry skin ,eczema, psoriasis, liver , gallbladder/bile ,kidney issues,thyroid, hives and rarely lymphoma. Antihistamines,moisturizers may help itching. See a doctor

Antihistamines: If you have been given the diagnosis one could start by taking antihistamines like Benadryl (diphenhydramine) 25mg every 6 hours. It may also be beneficial to take Zantac 150 mg daily. This is a drug for reflux and ulcers that is actually a histamine blocker. If this doesn't work confer with your physician for other options.
