Not out of nowhere: Heart attacks due to coronary artery disease are the end result of years of build-up of disease. This can be due to family history, tobacco use, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity, lack of regular aerobic exercise.

Unfrtunately : Sudden death is the first symptom in about one third of those who have a heart attack. Risk factors and treatment of those risk factors is critical.
