What causes a heart attack? why do some people die from them while others live?

Heart attack: heart attack means part of the heart muscle has died due to lack of blood supply. If you kill enough of the heart you can't survive as there isn't enough to pump blood to your body. In some cases even a small heart attack can cause electrical issues that can cause sudden death but these are more random and more difficult to predict.
