How the x-ray of hand can tell whether i can grow taller or not ?plz help(i'm girl and 18 years old )

Growth plates: You grow in your bones at the ends of your bones in areas called growth plates. An x-ray cn tell you if the growth plates are closed and thus no more growth will occur. If the growth plates are still open, thre radiologist (doctor who reads the x-ray) can estimate how long they will be open yet and give you an idea of how long you have to grow yet. At 18 and a girl, probably not much.
