Work on alignment: Often physical therapy works, sometimes not and that may be because the pts do not focus on alignment first, strengthening (in good alignment) second. Try a good osteopathic physician who practices gentle manipulation, then go back to pt to strengthen the muscles. Online sources of referrals for dos: biodo.Com, cranialacademy.Com, academyofosteopathy.Org.

Strong quads: Pt really is the best thing, and make sure your quad muscle is strong. A knee brace can help at times or with certain activities. Try and avoid things that aggravate the pain for a while to let it heal. Nsaids can help too.
