Is it skill level of ma that causes bruising with intramuscular shots? have shot monthly, last on 3/29 it stung and my arm is now achy and bruised.

Can be: Can definitely be technique, size of needle, depth of injection. If getting B12 shots, there should be no to minimal stinging, pain, ache and bruising. Some times its the medication that does this and not the technique.

No: It is proximity of end of needle tip to blood vessel and amount of tension in the muscle getting shot that determines bruising.
