Define the cause: You have to know the cause before you can discuss the treatment. So, seek help from your doctor, who can help direct investigation, which could include endoscopic evaluation by a GI specialist. Good luck.

Colonoscopy: Rectal bleeding is a symptom, not a diagnosis. It can represent something serious such as colon or rectal cancer, or something simple such as hemorrhoids. You need a physical examination followed by colonoscopy to diagnose the source; the treatment will differ depending on what the cause is.
