Polyp the size of a tennis ball in my husband's bowel. how can this be removed?

Depends on symptoms: I assume this polyp is in the large intestine... Also called colon. Most polyps are removed by a gastroenterologist via a procedure called colonoscopy. But if the polyp is causing pain or bowel obstruction due to its large size, an operation by a surgeon may be required to remove this polyp.
