Treatment vs cure: One thing to note is that mild stuttering is normal up to about 5 yrs of age in some children. Severe stuttering may require evaluation and treatment earlier. If over 5 yr or severe, then speech therapist will help teach the person how to control. Cured... Maybe not, it might reappear in particularly stressful situations in some people, but controlled, yes.
