There is help for IC: Ic is not well understood, but it is felt to be a chronic, non-infectious, inflammation of the bladder and/or urethra. It is much more common in women than men. Bladder pain.: Interstitial cystitis also called painful bladder syndrome is a very common condition. The most common symptom is pain in the bladder and surrounding structures. Many people also experience frequent urination, strong urge to urinate, symptoms that worsen during your period and painful intercourse. There are a variety of treatment options for interstitial cystitis that are usually effective. Check with your doctor to see which options are best for you.
