NO usually: Diabetes can effect the nerves in your feet. Commonly we see all of the toes effected and no just one. Diabetes will effect the nerves in the same way you put your socks on with the toes first and then the rest of the foot. If you see one toe effected it may be a local trauma to one of your nerves, possibly from shoe pressure. It can take a several weeks even months for the nerve to repair itself.
