What causes one enlarged testicle?

Don't know?: An enlarged testicle could be a serious thing. How long has it been that way? Any trauma or recent illness. How old are you? Is the testicle tender or does it feel irregular (not smoothe)? You should see your pcp or a urologist as soon as possible and have it checked out. You may need an ultrasound and some lab testing after a physical exam of hte testicle. Please get checked!

Possible tumor: A hard enlarged testicle is cancer until proven otherwise. Soft enlargement of the scrotum can be due to a hydrocele (fluid around the testis) also both can coexist. Have your dr. Order a scrotal ultrasound to find out. Testis tumors have a very high cure rate, but, the sooner they are diagnosed and treated the better.
