If: If back pain is worse with activity & better with rest, does not affect your sleep & is not associated with any weight loss, fever, chills or sweats then you can try some things otherwise see a doctor. First, stop smoking if you do so. Start exercising daily including stretching & cardio workouts which can be a fast walk to begin with but start slowly. Otc meds may help as well as a back support.
