What is causing this constant, deep itch in my back?

Many causes!: Cannot answer your question. However, i tell you what will greatly diminish your symptoms. This does not mean you should not be evaluated by your doctor. However, taking an h1 blocker (ie. Zyrtec otc, 10mg) with an h2 blocker (otc zantac (ranitidine) 75mg bid) should greatly diminish your itching.
