Varies: Age onset fibromyalgia (FM) might give insight to causation. Children oft w. inherited Joint Hypermobility. Women get in childbearing years, when their pelvises loosened by childbirth. Men commonly develop years after severe low back/pelvis mechanical injury from lifting, falling, or MVA. Perhaps ligament damage of low back & pelvis is primary, then sedentary lifestyle & painful muscle spasms.
