Heat; stretching: Moist heat to the tense muscles can help, as can gentle stretching of the affected muscles; a therapeutic massage can stretch and relax tense muscles. Low-dose magnesium (100 mg) can help relax muscles but may cause loose bowels in some people. If problem persists, see doc for complete evaluation of problem.

Take Care: Take good care of your muscles to relax by stretching regularly, exercising safely, staying hydrated, using warm compresses and also considering anti-inflammatories such as ibuprofen. You may consider massage therapy as well.
