No, but: Missed periods from anorexia is fairly common; it is unrealistic to say your body will "shut down", but there are many organ systems that may start to show dysfunction and failure over time without proper food and fluid intake.

No: Body won't shut down, but periods will. If you have an eating disorder, you can, however, do some significant damage to your body and it's organs. What was the cause of the weight loss and has your health normalized? I hope so.
