No: Mefenamic acid is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat mild to moderate pain. This medicine may also be used to treat menstrual cramps. However, this medication can actually increase cardiovascular risk. Be sure to discuss this with your doctor before taking this medication.
