A member asked:

Does drinking soda really increase the risk of having prostate cancer? how?

No: Don't get your medical information from friends, tv or the internet. If, however, along with drinking soda you're eating way too much and getting overweight, that's a whole different situation where there might be some increase.

It does not.: Lots of beliefs; few facts. Family history suggests genes. Others propose diets, heavy in pig fats (bacon, ham hocks); and african americans seem to have more aggressive forms showing up at younger age. Soda-pop not on the list, full of sugar or no sugar diet varieties.
