Maybe it is not: Gastritis. Ulcers, gallstones, and less likely inflammatory bowel disease or tumors can produce gastritis like symptoms. Causes of upper abdominal pain number literally in the hundreds, so you need a doctor to sort it out. In the meantime, try ppi meds like Protonix (pantoprazole) or prilosec.
