A member asked:

Does gastritis cause upper abd pain that spreads around the entire belly and back? us came back good i also have acid reflux

It may: But pain spreading into the back may be more suggestive of pancreatitis. You may want to get your amylase level checked as well.

Biliary colic : Gallbladder attack/biliary colic generally right sided, above the umbilicus, can penetrate to back, lasts 20 mins or longer, associated nausea, bloating, vomiting. There are a small % of patients who experience the pain on the left side. Fatty foods make it worse. Negative ct abd/pelvic is reassuring but does not rule out gallbladder disease. Ultrasound of gallbladder, and/or tech hida will.
