Are you still contagious after starting tamiflu (oseltamivir)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Tamiflu (oseltamivir) reduces the reproduction of the virus within you but does not kill it or stop your potential to spread it. Consider yourself most contagious while you have fever with declining potential as it drops.Virus can still be present in your cough or oral secretions for more than a week.Good hand washing and pre-treatment of contacts can limit the spread in families.
