Probably two issues: The nervous system of the tongue and gums is separate. I do not think the tongue pain is related to the cut on your gums. You should go in to see a doctor if you can't isolate the cause of pain.

Maybe: It is possible that you did something that traumatized that part of your cut, like eating something sharp or crunchy. If it starts feeling better i wouldn't worry about it, but if it lingers i would recommend seeing your dentist.

More Info Necessary: A good history is required here for any intelligent answer. Of course they could be related, but with only the information given, they could just as easily have nothing to do with each other.
