A member asked:

My sisters intestine is 60cm longer than normal, she's been having constipation from when she was little, she's 24 now, is that ok?what can she do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Consult a specialist: Constipation is very common in her age and some people have since childhood. There are so many causes for constipation that the best thing do is to consult a gastroenterologist and if needed he or she will refer to a colorectal surgeon. The length of the bowel itself may not be the cause for her symptoms.
