Maybe?: The reason you hear so many different treatments for toenail fungus is because there is no perfect, sure-fire treatment that works 100% of the time. I've seen vaporub work, as well as other natural oil remedies, but rarely. You can also try laser therapy, topical antifungal creams, paints, or even oral medications if your doctor deems you healthy enough to take them.

Options: There are other ways to treat it other than the oral meds. Topical s are available or laser treatment which I have had good results from.

Laser: Try to consult for laser therapy for toenail fungal treatment. (i have no financial interest in this procedure). The biggest issue is payment is not covered by any insurance at this time. Hope that helps.

Keep in mind...: The fda has recently come out with a blanket statement that toenail fungus can not be cured. It is "managed" by a number of modalities, but it can always come back in the future. Topical medications (formula 3), laser therapy, surgical removal, homeopathic applications (tea tree oil). Talk to a podiatrist for what will be best and most effective for you.
