Postpartum anxiety: You should discuss your symptoms with your ob. Making sure you get enough sleep ( i know that is hard with a new baby). Make sure you get enough time to take care of yourself so that you can properly take care of your baby. Ask family for help for a few hours so you can take a breather. If your symptoms are pretty intense then medication may be in order.

Baby blues common: A significant numer of new mothers go through baby blues; lack of sleep, worries, anxiety, irritability and tiredness. About 20% of these go on to develop post partum depression; sad and depressed mood, hopelessness and intense emotionality, crying spells, disinterest in infant. Post partum depression needs expert help, but baby blues usually goes away with support and help from family and friends.

Post partum: Would discuss with your ob. If he feels that it is something he or she cannot handle, a referral to a psychiatrist might be in order. Good luck.
