Better than non-fert: Chances of getting pregnant on fertile days are better than non-fertile days. If you're trying to get pregnant, make sure you're already taking prenatal vitamins to minimize risk of spinal tube defect. And chat w/your family doc or OB for preconception counseling. If you're not trying to get pregnant, then chat w/your doc about some form of contraception or birth control. May need condom for stds.

1 in 15-20?: I don't know if there is science that answers this question but there is research showing that women under the age of 35 take an average of 6 months to conceive. If they tired an average of 3 times each cycle (only a guesstimate by me) that would the odds at 1 in 18 so it is likely in that neighborhood...
