Next appointment: As long as he's eating well, wetting well, stooling well, gaining weight, and otherwise appears normal. I always advise new parents that newborns may twitch and appear to startle over nothing. This is often just a sign of an immature nervous system. If it's excessive or interferes with feeding/breathing/sleeping etc., then see your pediatrician for an exam and reassurance.
