Triple therapy: You should have received 2 antibiotics plus an acid medicine for 2 weeks. None of these are anti fungals, though.

No antifungal: There are regimens to treat h pylori that include antibiotics and proton pump inhibitors for acid, but there is no need for an antifungal, it does not affect the infection.

Not for h Pylori: Taking an oral antifungal while on antibiotic therapy is an option if you are prone to yeast infections. Speak to your gastroenterologist if you require a prescription for an antifungal following antibiotic therapy. I also think you mean to say you are taking 1gm twice a day. Duration of therapy has shown better results with duration of 14 days. In conjunction with a proton pump inhibitor.

No. Not needed: Helicobacter pylori is a bacterium which can hide itself under the lining of your stomach, hence escaping the acid. Since it is a bacterium, antifungal medication has no effect on it. Treatment of h. Pylori often requires a combination of several medications together over a week or more. Eradication is challenging and recurrence is a concern. Follow-up with doc is recommended. Good luck.

Need triple therapy: Antifungal drugs no good because helicobacter not a fungus. But u need more than just amoxicillin. Best is 2 antibiotics i.e. Clarithromycin in addition to amox. Plus a proton pump inhibitor such as imiprazole (prilosec), pantoprezole (protonix) or esomeprazole (nexium) which will inhibit stomach acid production. Also some evidence additional live culture yogourt (cotaining lactobacillus) helps.
