I had a skin outbreak 5 years ago, started as a pimple the became a puss filled rash that covered my arms, body and thighs. allergy test was negative, blood tests showed nothing, healed after 3 to 4 wks. was it herpes?

Not likely.: Herpes apparently occurs regularly with trauma and sun exposure. This seems more like poison ivy or some staph infection of a skin pore that got out of control.

Dermatology eval: You must see a dermatologist immediately if the rash recurs. Especially to have them consider a biopsy. Herpes tends not to do this.
