Pediatrician : Must check with a pediatrician, ask about putting a humidifier in the baby's room. Must also check for allergies.

Cold cough: Green mucus discharge from the nose or eye can be a sign of a viral or bacterial infection. Severe discharge can be cultured to evaluate for a bacterial infection which should be treated with an antibiotic. Young children benefit from vitamin d supplements (protected sun exposure in the southern states in the winter works naturally; in the northern states, sugarfree vit d works well). See pedsmd.

Upper respiratory: Sounds like an upper respiratory infection. If it is only a day or two, then it is likely a virus. If 5-7 days then likely a bacterial infection. If other kids around, they likely helped contribute.
