Allergies : Allergy shots are only as effective as the allergens identified in skin testing, as you know. Some people are "allergic to everything, " making it difficult to formulate the injection mix. Others swear by acupuncture as an alternative treatment. An effective program considers your lifestyle, home environment, climate, and known irritants, as well as shots and antihistamines to control the worst sx.

Acupuncture. : If i had absolutely no success with all that treatment i would look for an alternative. I have had patients have good success with acupuncture and osteopathy for sinusitis. I would try one of those. Good luck.

Another option: If you haven't tried an inhaled nasal steroid (eg, nasonex), it might prove effective in controlling your symptoms. In addition, there are multiple medications which counter allergic symptoms. Make sure your doctor has tried each one for your symptoms. Allergy shots (desensitization therapy) might help.
