Is this migraine?: Permanent visual loss is rare in migraine unless one has a stroke, which usually occurs in patients who have complex migraines in association with smoking and bcp's. Do you have actually a retinal detachment, as another consideration. There are plenty of effective migraine meds, but I am concerned that things are not working out for you. See an ophthalmologist at an academic facility.
