Wholesome diet: It is important that your child start eating cereal, fruits, vegetables, meat, chicken , turkey. All these foods add nutrients to your child who is probablty anemic by now, if all hes had is breast milk.

Supplements: Good for you for nursing your child for so long! you should offer him whole milk and a variety of foods. He should take some vitamins...Vitamin d, iron, and possibly others depending on your diet.

Not particularly: Many aboriginal cultures do this but their kids do end up with some dietary deficiencies. It is time to bring the kid to the table and have him watch people enjoy eating. He should become interested in joining in and if your meal plan provides a few things you could mash up and offer directly, that would be fine. Jar foods are just baby fast food. If he can transition direct to table foods, great.
