Jaundice: If no underlying medical problems, the face and eyes are last to clear up. Indirect sunlight will help but also "pooping" well is important as its cleared through the stool. So feeding and popping well are important.

Newborn jaundice: Totla bilirubin of 8 is nto worrisome as such but if he has soem other condition it would perrsist after 1 month of age, then speak to his pediatrician. Commonly, jaundice of newborn reolves in 1-2 weeks. Suggest see the pedaitrican, as he is due for 2 week well child exam any way.
