How long does 8% crinone (progesterone gel) gel take to absorb? should i be cleaning out any of the build up after use?

Several days: The gel stays attached to the vaginal walls for a few days as the Progesterone is absorbed. Don't be concerned if small, white globules appear as a discharge . It is common and not harmful to have some gel residue build up. Eventually the vagina will clear this material without a necessity for you to do anything else.

Quickly: Some people need to clean out the build up but this takes a few days to occur. We rarely have this happen in our pts by using these tricks. I would recommend not inserting the Crinone (progesterone gel) as far into the vagaina as this creates less buildup (2 fingers widths in only) and putting the Crinone (progesterone gel) in the vagina in the morning.
