Common, not normal: Bleeding this early in pregnancy is common but i tell my patient that it is not normal. It could signal a miscarriage, a non-viable pregnancy, or poor implantation. Since you're taking Progesterone supplementation, your doc must believe you have a corpus luteum deficiency & you should continue this regime until at least 8 weeks gestational age (some use 10-12 weeks). An ultrasound is useful too.

Sometimes: Crinone (progesterone gel) can irritate the cervix and can cause bleeding in some women. However the bleeding may not be from the crinone (progesterone gel). I would make sure you speak with your doctor to make sure there is no other reason identified for the bleeding.
