Brush: If these white spots are new they may be described as the beginning step of dental decay . At this point the cavity process maybe stopped and even reversed with improved cleanings and the use of topical Fluoride and remineralization agents. See your dentist.

White spots: New white spots can signify the beginning stages of a cavity. Help your child brush and be sure not to put them to bed with anything but water. See your dentist for regular visits and have them place Fluoride varnish. There are other causes for white spots, but your child's dentist is the best person to ask for the true reason.

Hypocalcification: Most likely the spots are benign areas of under- or defectively mineralized enamel or mild excess Fluoride deposits (fluorosis). In most cases, completely harmless unless accompanied by pitting that can become decayed. See your family dentist to rule out other causes.
