what exactly is ovulation?(please define) and can a female have children without ovulating?

No: A woman has 2 ovaris. An egg is born every month from one ovary. The birth of this egg is called ovulation. If the egg meets the male sperm, a baby is born. If the egg does not meet a sperm, it is thrown out in monthly period.
