Lipoma or cyst: Most lumps over the sternum are benign lipomas or cysts such as sebaceous cysts. You should see our physician to get an opinion as to whether or not it should be removed.

Several things: This is a problem that requires a face-to-face meeting with your doctor. In that meeting, your doctor will listen to you, perform a throrough examination and possibly order labs or other tests.
