Corns: Corns are essentially focal areas of dry, thick, calloused skin. Otc corn pads use salicylic acid to dissolve them away. Also use of a foot file or pumice stone can help mechanically remove them. May want to see your doctor to make sure they are not plantar warts--they can resemble a corn.

Pumice stone: I hesitate to tell anyone to cut at their foot, having seen the chunks some of my patients took out of theirs. Your best bet is smoothing the area with a pumice stone, moisturizing it regularly and wearing cushioned shoes. If it doesn't go away, see a podiatrist who can easily trim away the corn and suggest how to keep it away.
