Swelling of fingers : Things such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and systemic lupus erythmatosus (sle) come to mind. Other connective tissue/auto-immune/rheumatological conditions can do this as well. Arthritis can do it also. A doctor needs to see the swelling to determine if its swelling of the little joints of the hands and feet (synovitis) or if its edema of the entire extremity. These can have distinct causes.
