My son had a cleft lip/cleft palate repair. how long until it goes back to normal?

Depends: Depends on the extend of the necessary repair. Ask the surgeon that did the repair.

Depends: Are talking about the immediate effects of surgery? (swelling, pain, etc.) or are you asking about normal appearance and function (i.e. Looking like someone without a cleft?). Your child will always have scars from the repair. Unusually the short-term effects of the surgery go away in a week or two.
