HIV testing: forced?: No. I believe it is still not legal to do an HIV test without permission in most medical settings in america. However, most patients coming in for new pregnancy health care will be offered a series of tests to prepare the medical provider and the new mother for all issues that could complicate the pregnancy. This would be a good discussion to have at your next office visit.
