Yes: Typically kidneys do not hurt. Usually back pain is musculoskeletal. Kidney pan does not change with movement, position or heat. It is usually located in the sides of the back just under the rib cage. If you have high blood sugars, you are chronically at risk of kidney disease. If acute rise think of a kidney infection especially with nausea. You need to be seen promptly.
