Swallowed air: If you are eating a lot of airy foods or drink carbonated beverages, you are loading your GI system with air that has to come out either as belching or flatus. Beans & other foods will make gas in the intestine. If you are the nervous type, you may do more swallowing thru the day & incidentally swallow more air. Try to avoid what you can - otherwise, be happy that you have a functioning GI tract!
