Reflux?: Sounds like gastroesophageal reflux disease, gerd. Other possibilities include heart issues. If you have difficulty swallowing or persistent symptoms you should see your doctor as an endoscopy may be indicated. A 2 week trial of otc Prilosec or Prevacid (lansoprazole) should help if gerd is the cause.
